Follow-up on U.S. Trustee’s Investigation of Deutsche Bank Documents

Reuters reported on the U.S. Trustee’s Motion for a 2004 Investigation of representatives of Deutsche Bank in connection with a Connecticut Chapter 13 bankruptcy case.

Amidst other analysis, April Charney offered this comment:

Charney said the evidence elicited in the inquiry could apply to many other Deutsche Bank foreclosures by putting the bank on notice that its practices have not been legal, and that it may lack the basic authority even to bring many of the foreclosure cases.
